Cute Calvin about a month ago:
We got some snow in PA before we left. But the big storm hit right after we got out.
We were lucky, because two feet of snow fell and delayed a whole lot of flights!
Last year I had really wanted to see the Christmas lights at
Longwood Gardens, but we didn't make it. So this year, I made sure we got there!
We did have to put up with two melt downs - but it was worth it.
The day before we left for Oregon we got a little package from Grandma & Grandpa Haws. So we really had two Christmases :) Mia was giddy about this HUGE box, but I made her wait until Dad came home to open it!
Her exuberance overflowed into kisses for Calvin.
They had a good time opening presents.
Calvin got a car or two and thought - finally some BOY toys in this girl infested house!
But of course, all they really wanted for Christmas was a giant box.
Our trip to Oregon was fantastic. The kids were excellent on all the flights.
(We've been really blessed in that area, knock on wood...)
We did so many fun things - including making a gingerbread house with Grandma and cousin Makayla.
Dad showed Mia his trick for covering Oregon blueberries in chocolate.
We even had SNOW in Oregon! We took Mia to see the Princess and the Frog
and there were a few flakes flying, when we got out there was a full blown snow storm!

And of course there was all the fun of opening presents. Mia was sick at the time,
so her poor nose was scabbed over and bright red. I started calling her Rudolph.
She had envisioned Christmas morning for weeks - it was her ultimate princess day
and she was going to wear her very best princess dress. A princess to the end - even when she's sick.
